DESTRUCTION OF EXCEPTIONAL CHILDREN’S CONFIDENTIAL SCHOOL RECORDS
The Mooresville Graded School District is in the process of destroying confidential exceptional children’s records for students with birthdates from 1992. The directory information contained in the student’s file, including child’s name, address, telephone number, grades, attendance record, classes attended, and grade level completed are not affected and will be maintained without limitations. Only Exceptional Children’s information will be destroyed including psychological reports, other evaluations, and placement records, which may be needed for social security purposes. Parents, surrogate parents, and eligible students may request a copy of a student’s record prior to its destruction by calling the school they attended. Shredding will begin on June 18, 2018. If you have questions, contact Dr. Sandra Albert, Executive Director of Exceptional Children's Programs, Mooresville Graded School District, 641 E. Center Avenue, Mooresville, NC 28115, 704-658-2602.
