Rocky River Elementary School
Rocky River Elementary School serves children in pre-Kindergarten through third grade. It has a history of strong academic performance being named a North Carolina Honor School of Excellence multiple times. As part of the MGSD Digital Conversion, all third grade students have a MacBook for their use and all Kindergarten through 2nd grade classrooms have MacBooks and iPads on carts.
Rocky River Elementary School strives to provide a supportive environment where students, parents, and teachers collaborate to inspire, encourage and nurture every child, every day.
Rocky River Elementary School also emphasizes the importance of fine arts for our youngest students. All 2nd and 3rd grade students will have the opportunity to learn violin as part C the music program and the RRES art teacher was named the 2014 Teacher of the Year for Rocky River!
Camp Invention is Coming!!!
Imaginations get their rocket fuel at Camp Invention! This summer’s all-new curriculum allows children in rising 1st through 6th grades to experience real-world problem solving and creative thinking as they transform a distant exoplanet, take risks as future entrepreneurs, blast rockets and rubber chickens, and wire a circuit to create their own Spy Gadget Alarm Box! Local educators lead a week of hands-on activities that will launch your child’s imagination. Visit campinvention.org or call 800.968.4332.
