Congratulations to Ms. McKay, MIS Teacher of the Year and Mr. Sloan, MIS Beginning Teacher of the Year!
MIS Night of the Arts
On Thursday, May 17th, our students will be presenting a showcase of what they have been learning in their Enhancement classes this year. Students will perform in a musical concert, artwork will be on display, and the school book fair will be open. This is a wonderful opportunity for our students to demonstrate their skills and talents. The admission for this event is free, and all are welcome to attend. The schedule for the evening is as follows:
5:00-6:00 The Buy-One-Get One Book Fair will be open in the Media Center.
5:30 Students participating in the musical performance need to arrive and meet in the gym.
6:00-6:30 4th graders will perform a recorder demonstration, Chorus will sing, 5th grade will perform rhythm basketball (5th grade students need to wear a dark or black outfit and please bring a basketball if they have one at home!), and 6th graders will participate in a drum circle. The book fair will be closed during the musical performance.
*If you plan on attending the musical performance, we ask that you stay through the duration of the concert. This will prevent distractions to the performers, and emphasize the importance of good audience behavior to our students.
6:30-7:00 The Book Fair will be open in the Media Center, and the Art Show will take place in the main hallways.
Please join us for this fun family event at MIS on Thursday, May 17th. We look forward to seeing you there!
Join us on Monday, April 30th for our next Chick-fil-A Spirit Night from 5-8 pm!
