Leanne Rose, a second-grade teacher at Park View Elementary School in the Mooresville Graded School District (MGSD), was named the North Carolina Center for the Advancement of Teaching (NCCAT) Beginning Teacher of the Year in a special ceremony Thursday, December 5, 2019. On Tuesday, November 5, elections will be held for the Mooresville Graded School District Board of Education. Community members living within the MGSD school district will have the opportunity to vote for up to three school board candidates. MGSD has a non-partisan, five-member board of education. This election cycle there are three seats up for vote with four candidates running for those seats. In this guide, our our community members have the opportunity to learn about the four candidates and read, in the candidates' words, their answers to four identical questions about themselves, the district, and education.
