April 11, 2020

Hello MGSD families,

Happy Saturday to all of you!  Three weeks of remote learning down, and we are rapidly closing in on the half-way mark of our final quarter.  We hope all of our families are staying safe and doing well during this time. As a reminder, there will be no virtual school on Monday, April 13, 2020!

Our focus for this communication is an upcoming change to our school nutrition service.  Please pay close attention to the following information and let us know if you have any questions.

Due to continued tightening of social distancing requirements, we want to make sure we are doing everything possible to keep our families as safe as possible, as well as our staff that is out on the front lines!  So we have worked to come up with a way to make sure our students continue to get meals while also cutting down on the instances where our families and staff have social interactions.

Next week on Tuesday through Friday, our schedule will remain unchanged with meal pick-up available at Park View and South Elementary Schools, as well as meal delivery to the designated stops.  HOWEVER, on Friday our families will receive meals (both breakfast and lunch) for Monday (April 20). Then, the week of April 20th, meals will be delivered to the designated stops or can be picked up at Park View and South Elementary Schools on Tuesday and Thursday.  On Tuesday, meals will be given out for Tuesday and Wednesday, and on Thursday, meals will be given out for Thursday, Friday and Monday.  These meals will be frozen, when appropriate, with directions for heating located on the container.

All bus stops for our Tuesday/Thursday meal delivery will remain the same as our current stops and can be found at the following links:

English:  School Nutrition Meal Schedule

Spanish:  Plan de Aprendizaje Virtual del Horario de Comidas de Nutrición Escolar

Please remember that following the guidelines for social distancing (6 ft) while in line at the busses to pick up your meals IS A MUST.
