Hello MGSD families,
It is a beautiful Friday, and we hope you all get to enjoy a bit of it! As we get ready to start our fifth week of remote learning, we are missing all of our kiddos more than ever! That being said, we are proud of the resilience our community, families, and district staff have shown in this new normal. This communication will focus on a few reminders and, of course, you can always find it on our MGSD VLP website at this link MGSD COVID-19 VLP!
School Nutrition Meals
Next week we begin the new meal delivery and pickup schedule. If you received meals today, you should have also received your Monday, April 20, frozen meal with directions for heating. Next week we start our new meal schedule where meals will be delivered to the designated stops or picked up at Park View and South Elementary Schools on Tuesday and Thursday only; however, you will still receive enough meals for the entire week! On Tuesday, meals will be given out for Tuesday and Wednesday. Then on Thursday, meals will be given out for Thursday, Friday and Monday. These meals will be frozen, when appropriate, with directions for heating located on the container.
All bus stops for our Tuesday/Thursday meal delivery will remain the same as our current stops and can be found at the following links:

Please remember that following the guidelines for social distancing (6 ft) while in line at the busses to pick up your meals IS A MUST.
MGSD Wellness Support
Also as a reminder, Integrative Wellness Solutions (IWS) is offering an open access line or 'hotline' for our students, staff and families - free of charge. The hotline will provide support, counseling and resources to anyone in MGSD - all without having to agree to any continued services or therapy.
This hotline will be available 24/7 and 'live' from 5:00pm - 10:00 pm - hours will be increasing next week. To access this hotline, call 704-360-3637 ext. 6.
Intermediate School Choice
This reminder is for the parents of our rising 4th, 5th, and 6th grade students. You should have received your child’s school assignment letter for the 2020 - 2021 school year. Students that will be at the intermediate level (grades 4, 5, 6) next year do have the option to attend the intermediate school of their choice. For example, if a student is assigned to East Mooresville Intermediate School but prefers Mooresville Intermediate School, or vice-versa, they can fill out this Intermediate School Choice Form. If School Choice is utilized, please keep in mind that the parent is responsible for providing transportation to and from the school each day. Due to COVID-19, there is no need to come to the Central Office to complete a form as indicated in the school assignment letter. Simply fill out the form linked above by APRIL 24, 2020.
