Hello MGSD families,
We hope you all made it through Day 1 of virtual learning. We received some amazing stories and photos of our children learning today! If you have not heard, Governor Cooper announced that all North Carolina schools will remain closed through at least May 15, 2020. We wanted to assure all of you that we were prepared for an announcement like this and will continue with our Virtual Learning Plan through May 15, 2020. In addition, we will continue to have meals available for our students who want to utilize that service. While we are sure you have many questions, we are still waiting for clear direction from the state. We know that these are uncertain times; however, we strongly believe that there is comfort in routine for both our staff and students, even if that routine looks different than normal.
