BASP FALL 2025/26 REGISTRATION
At this time you will need to contact the Site Director at your child’s school for information regarding any openings and registration processes.
One application per child.
Registration began April 12th, 2025
As of June 30 our application changed. Please contact the Site Director at your child’s school to check availability. If there is an opening the Site Director will assist you with enrollment information.
DO not pay any fees until you have been issued a confirmation email WITH PAYMENT INSTRUCTIONS signed by the program director. Confirmation of application submission is not confirmation of a program slot.
REGISTRATION IS FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE. A NEW APPLICATION IS REQUIRED EACH YEAR. ONE APPLICATION PER CHILD.
Effective for the 2023-24 school year 6th grade will be now be part of middle school and no longer eligible to attend BASP.
We no longer offer Part Time Care.
BASP is open to Mooresville Graded School District students, kindergarten through fifth grade (students must have attended their first day of class prior to beginning BASP) and is restricted to regular users. Regular users are those students whose parents/guardians have completed the application process, and the student attends BASP on a consistent full-time basis. Students with development limitations are enrolled based on the capability of the program to provide adequate services and/or care. Each student is considered on an individual basis. Registration is on a First Come, First Served basis. New Applications are required each year and your enrollment does not roll over year to year, you must apply for a slot each year.Please take time to read our Parent Handbook and the Summary of the North Carolina Child Care Law and Rules for important program information.
PLEASE NOTE - ALL PAYMENTS ARE ASKED TO BE MADE THROUGH OUR ONLINE SCHOOL PAYMENT OPTION LOCATED ON THE UPPER, LEFT SIDE OF THIS PAGE. THERE ARE NO FEES FOR USING THIS SERVICE.
PLEASE CALL OR EMAIL TO ARRANGE A TIME TO GET ASSISTANCE IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO ACCESS A COMPUTER. WE WILL BE HAPPY TO HELP.
Please do not pay the Registration fee until you have been contacted with a confirmation that your child has a spot.

When you are contacted with a confirmation -the $25.00 registration fee may be paid using our online payment service - the link is located on the left hand side of our home page above the BASP Calendar.
Children attending the Before & After School Program must be registered with the Site Director and Program Director and must be enrolled and have attended his/her first day of school at South Elementary, Park View Elementary, Rocky River Elementary, Mooresville Intermediate or East Mooresville Intermediate. Prior registration is a pre-requisite for all care arrangements and confirmation from the Program Director must be received before the child may start care. All fees must be paid in advance and accounts must be maintained promptly. Payments may be made via our Online School Payments service or mailed / paid in person at the Mooresville Intermediate School Site ONLY. (1438 Coddle Creek Hwy. Mooresville, NC 28115). All forms (additional forms packet and all medical action care forms) must be complete and on file BEFORE the child may start.

2023 - 2025 Rates (no rate increase for the 2024/2025 school year) Rate increase will occur for 2025/2026
There is a $25.00 per year registration fee for all students enrolling either part-time or full-time in the MGSD Before and After School Program. Tuition is not adjusted for attendance or weather. December tuition will be the same even though the students are out for break (tuition is set up on a budget payment system so that payments are the same each month). The final tuition payment will be billed middle of April for the month of May and will be due by the 10th of May in order for us to close out the books for the school year and allow us time to prep for summer camp. No child may attend camp if there is a balance on their school year account.Our last rate increase was 2023-2024
MONTHLY PAYMENT 2024/2025 School Year
- Before School only tuition is $125.00 a month
- After School only tuition is $250.00 a month
- Before & After School tuition is $300.00 a month
MONTHLY PAYMENT 2025/2026 School Year
- Before School only tuition is $150.00 a month
- After School only tuition is $275.00 a month
- Before & After School tuition is $350.00 a month

- Fall Break October 14-18, 2024 - $170
- We will be closed December 23, 2024-January 2, 2025, Christmas Break
- Spring Break , March 10-14 2025= $170.00

Summer Program Fees:
Summer Care attendance is optional and care must be prearranged with the Site Director and Program Director. Forms to pre-register for Summer Care are available online beginning in February/March. Fees are a flat rate and inclusive for all summer program activities. Camp operates Monday-Thursday only, closed for June 19 and the week of July 4.Fees for Summer Care 2025:

Please note that individual sites have specific cut off times for daily school day arrivals and dismissals for safety reasons. Each school will have their times posted at their sign in/out tables. These times are set to prevent our parents and students from crossing moving school traffic for safety considerations. Please note - All Day care (Teacher Work Days, Fall Break and Spring Break Care) will be held at Rocky River Elementary BASP for all registered students beginning Fall of 2017 (not your normal school site). Please make sure you update your Site Director by filling out the digital form sent out via email prior to an All Day Care date. The form needs to be filled out regardless of whether you are requesting or declining services for the listed dates. The form is typically sent out 3-4 weeks prior to the cut off day (10 business days before the date of service). Also note the cafeteria does not operate during All Day Care or Fall/Spring Break. Please make sure you pack your child a Nutritious lunch (one item from each of the 5 food groups- no junk food no sodas). We will provide milk to drink at lunch as well as morning and afternoon snacks.

- When Mooresville Graded School District schools are closed for weather or other emergency conditions the Before and After School Programs are closed.
- When a Delayed School Opening is announced, the Before School Programs will open on the announced delayed school schedule.
- If after a delay, SCHOOL IS CALLED OFF DUE TO WORSENING CONDITIONS, BASP will close. Staff must have the name and phone number of a locally accessible person who will come for your child.
- If school has begun for the day and dismissed early for weather or other conditions, the After School Programs will not operate. Your child’s classroom teacher must be provided with the child’s emergency dismissal information.
- If a teacher planning day or remote learning day instead of a regular school day is announced, the Before and After School Programs will be closed.

BASED ON THE FOLLOWING HEALTH AND SANITATION RULE - A FIELD TRIP MAY BE CANCELED AND NOT RESCHEDULED DUE TO THE AIR QUALITY FORECAST FOR THE DAY OF THE TRIP BECAUSE WE MUST TRAVEL ON ACTIVITY BUSES TO GET TO OUR DESTINATION.
15A NCAC 18A .2832 OUTDOOR LEARNING ENVIRONMENT AND PREMISES
(d) If a daily air quality forecast is made by the Division of Air Quality or the regional air quality agency for the county where a center is located, outdoor activity for children shall be restricted as follows. On days with a code orange (unhealthy for sensitive groups) forecast, children shall not be outside participating in physical activity between noon and 8:00 p.m. for more than one hour. On days with a code red (unhealthy) forecast, children shall not be outside participating in physical activity between noon and 8:00 p.m. for more than 15 minutes. On days with a code purple (very unhealthy) forecast, children shall not be outside participating in physical activity between noon and 8:00 p.m. Provisions shall be made to allow children with diagnosed asthma or with coughing or wheezing symptoms to participate in physical activity indoors on days with a code orange, red or purple air quality forecast.
